A(u)PEX is an experimental publication and an homage to one of the most ordinary and unremarkable items that constantly surrounds me—a golden tiger decoration piece perched atop my bookshelf. This publication consists of a large series of engaging challenges centered around this particular object, and serves as both an exercise in association and comparison.
The name A(u)PEX is derived from 'Au,' the elemental symbol for gold, and 'APEX,' symbolizing the tiger as the ultimate predator on top of the food chain. The publication is a blend of mixed media, featuring original hand-drawn illustrations, digitally manipulated sketches, and digital designs.
